It's the first day of spring and over night ( from midnight local time) there is a winter storm warning up to 8 inches of snow! I have seen varying reports we are in the "gray area" some reports have us getting rain with all the snow to the north, some have us getting a mixture of snow/ice/sleet. I sure hope we get rain I am so sick of snow! we have had so much snow in February and March I am sick of it.

I can fully understand you being so sick of snow my friend. Some parts of America get so much snow it is unbelievable and here in the UK we get very little especially here with the pennines acting as a sheild so by the time any snow gets to us there is very very little of it. I have given up listening to weather reports as it just never happens. I like Janine need lots of light and with the rainy weather we get all the time here we don't get much of the light like Janine has said. Although I do like snow I will keep my fingers crossed Renae that you get rain, which as you know is unusual for me...

Yes some parts of the US get a lot of snow places out west in the Rocky Mountains and along the great lakes they get several feet of snow at a time. we got lucky no snow or rain! ;D the whole weather system shifted to the north .

I hate gloom, we have gloomy winters a lot. I don't mind rain at all I just hate the gloominess that comes with it. we got lucky with no snow this last time. Town to the north of us got 11 inches So glad we just got rain!

It really made a change having the snow around for a day. It didn't quite all melt away in the same day either which also makes a change. We had snow lying around the edges and corners for quiet a while. The S A D thing really does get me down as I hate the gloom that comes with rain also. It is a shame that we can't adjust the same as everyone else and I have often wondered why that is or does everyone really get affected the same and it is just a case that others can cope with it better than we can? mmmmh food for thought I think. Glad the snow didn't happen this time Renae and Janine hope Dylan is feeling much better after his fairground ride bubbly tummy attack... You are quite right my friend it does show that we are all human. 73's Zo

I know I would end up with SAD if I lived in a climate that had a lot of gloomy days...winter is bad enough and sometimes we go a few weeks with gloomy days.

In the winter we have actual temperature below 0 (-17C) in the summer it gets to be in the 90's (32C) and even in the 100's (37C)sometimes

- 17C is pretty darn cold. How do you adjust and keep warm Renae? in the house we live in it would never cope with temperatures so low for any amount of time and we would all not be able to move for being frozen... Its down to only having radiators and I long for a fire now so if the temperature dropped too low I think we would all be in a sorry state Janine, It would be great if it was so warm but I can't cope with it if it gets too warm either...so can't win lol, if it gets too cold I hate it and if it gets too warm I hate it hee hee

Still cold cold temperatures my friend. Do you not have a fire either? I would love an open fire so I can sit by it in the evenings watching the flames dancing about. Might even be tempted to have a glass of wine then

Today it is cloudy but not gloomy like it has been. There are breaks in the clouds here and there and a bit of the ole sunshine does seem to be getting through Temp around 10 degree's Celsius so that is most definitely warmer
