I have been quite poorly for the last 3 weeks. I have had a really nasty bout of flu. I thought about a week ago that I was starting to feel better but a day or so after I was back to square one. Its a long time since I was as poorly as this and hope that I am now on the mend as it were. I do apologise for my absence and wish to say a big Hello to the newest members and say sorry for not being around when you joined. M3LHI ~ Zo

I agree Renae some of those viruses out there are pretty nasty. I don't think it helps being a smoker so I am seriously giving it some thought about quiting the ciggies.

I quit smoking 12 years ago when I was a smoker everything lasted twice a long. Dave smokes and everything lasts longer for him than when Tiff or I catch it.

It's been horrible this bout of illness So both Den and Myself have decided that today (Sunday) is the last day of smoking. At midnight tonight we finish and hopefully in a couple of weeks we will both feel much better in ourselves

Even though it was 12 years since I quite smoking I do recall it was hard to quit! The first two weeks smoke free are the hardest after that it is easier. I was cranky and not pleasant to be around .

Thanks for your support Renae, it is really appreciated In the end we decided to ween ourselves off the cigarettes. I was smoking 30 + a day due to stress. Now we are smoking between 10 and 14 a day. Next week I hope to cut back by 2 and 2 the following week ect. We are going to a Quit Smoking Surgery on Friday so hope will get some more help and advise.

Thanks Renae Our Daughter Stacey is coming with us so she can start the process of giving up too. I am feeling quite good about it today and am trying to leave it as long as possible before I give in and have one. I hope it gets longer and longer each day but I suppose like all things there will be days when we will backslide as it were. Hope there aren't many of those
