Wonder how long it will take SOTA to catch on in these area's? Hi Zo There are quite a few regular chasers in France on 40m. I'm sure there will be more when the activations start. USA should be interesting - must make a 20m dipole to take on my activations - would be nice to get a summit to summit Roger G4OWG

Instructions at www.sota.org.uk Roger G4OWG there are no "Summits" in Illinois. most of the state is farm land and the deveolped areas are very flat...unless you count making contacts on the top floor of the Sears Tower as a summit Link to my town's website , newlenox.net/default.aspthis is a typical photo of what Illinois( except Big cities) looks like

It's such a shame that there aren't any summits in Illinois Renae Roger, It would be amazing to get summit to summit contacts such as Lake District to America. Those sort of contacts would certainly be the kind that stick in mind when re-calling one's best summit to summit contacts

It's such a shame that there aren't any summits in Illinois Renae It is a "flat" boring state ( as far as scenery) there are some wooded areas lakes and rivers though those areas are prettier than boring farmland.

Also more to listen out for on HF hopefully If band conditions ever get better I will be able to hear more on HF I did have a contact with one on Orkney Island it was a S.O.T.A I didn't realize it until afterward. I was just happy to have made that distant contact.
