The Cloud SP-015 1125 FT ALT 1 Point
Shining Tor completed moved on to activate the Cloud. WX was bright and both the mist and cloud had dissipitated. Headed back down the A537 towards Macclesfield and then south on the A523 towards Congleton. Wound my way to Timbersbrook and the various lanes leading up to Red Lane which takes you up to the start of the climb to the summit. Parked up at the gate at Grid SJ 907633 where there is room for 4 vehicles to park. Set off up the metalled path which soon brings you to the steps on the right of the path. An easy climb up the concrete steps to the gateway and then a short walk up a relatively dry path over moorland to the summit. WX was fine again with light breeze. Set-up quickly, QRV at 1157 hours local again flying the Jolly Roger and was soon into Malcom G4PLV in Oldham, Stan M1HLL in Atherton, Robin G4VXW/M in Lymm and John M0ZOV again in Oldham. Lovely views from this summit especially to the north and a sign stating 'NO HAND GLIDING'. Good activation..........

Glad to hear you had a good activation of Shining Tor Ian. I only hear activators on Shining Tor when the conditions are particularly good because of the distance. I have had chaser contacts there during the summer months but don't hear anyone there in winter as a rule.
