Hi well , here's a short intro about me (copied from my site) : My name is Eyran Millis , 34 years old , i am a Swl Since July 1986 , my call is 4X4-2238 . i am living in Natanya , capital of the "Ha'sharon" District ,about 30kms north of Tel-Aviv , sometimes i think my city is like Miami ,in the USA ,kinda of...hi hi ...----i got my first Reciever Collins51J4 , as a gift for my 13th Bar-Mitzva celebration , by my father . Since then , i just bugged with Dx'ing ! My main interests are Dxing and Awards chasing . i got 184 Awards . Dxcc cfm'ed score is : 314 Countries . I am used to be bored vy quickly so i am just looking for any new IOTA , then to keep up my interest in this hobby i just start looking for WAB(Worked all Britain) Squares, then jump to SOTA(Summits On the Air), then any Castle activity wich is my top interest btw.... .....and ofcourse RDA ! So , i never got bored in that way...hi hi i am using Collins51J4 , Collins51S1 , R-5000 and Icom746 recievers with long wire and Dipole antenna . it is my pleasure to be here , unfurtantly there no so many Swls left from the '80s except only few.... but i really like this animal called Swl ! rigards , 73/88 ! Hello From Renae/K9DO ;D Is that a Collin in your avatar?
Hubby is into vintage radio, he has a few Drake, Hallicrafters, Heathkit he is working on restoring an old Collins and we have have an old Army transceiver( I forget the name as I am not that knowledgeable about vintage gear)

Hello Renae Yep , that's my 2 Collins recievers , sorry about low res. all what i can say is , i like them and both are still fuctional and full working ! last week i compared the cond here , i was listning on the 80m band with the Icom746 and with my R-5000 and hrd PZ1AB given a 56 report and then i checked him with the 51S1 and he got 58 ! what you can say ? better then the Icom ? heh heh So , they still doing the great job with their tubes ! high recomended for any Swl ! i know the Drake , i had one many years ago , that's a good one also . 88 Renae !

Hubby just has the receiver for the Collins ( I think I don't look in his work shop ) He loves the old stuff he has a whole shelf filled with tubes! He was given a whole rack so that is down in the workshop ( wont make it's way to our radio room until it is tidied up and working order)
