hmmn I was tempted to go, then read the list of who's already going, and thought without a police escort it might not be sensible. I've had enough of certain elements pregnant dogging me since I passed my foundation Anyways the Event has now moved to BlackHill, which is not even a hump on the landscape, and is also the location for BADARCS Special Event Station. How Odd if you don't mind me saying....

I fully concur with you Lichy, with certain people there notably those belonging to Burnley radio club committee i think that the cream would quickly sour . 73's de Den.

The people going to Easington Fell are not the same as those going to the none hump
I have no idea what happened at the Burnley Radio Club but can only summise and form theories which may, or may not, be correct. Also I have no wish to know.
You may be assured that there will be no ill will between those attending Easington as the AM and MT representation will be there
It is a shame that a minority of persons are set on causing so many problems to the overwhelming majority

Hi Myke, i agree with you about non involvment, i wouldn't post details on the forum anyway as it is unfair to lay ones problems on others. I will certainly listen on 2 mtrs on the 31st, it's a while since we last had a chat.

There are road works at the lay by near the cattle grid. Will check this out on Fri en-route to Hawes for the cheese.
Another layby exists just a wee bit further down the road en route to Slaidburn.
All details will be posted on SOTA reflector as this is the official "SOTA Cream Tea" event.
Also, hope to use 144 M/cs AM for a change.
PS SILLY HATS ARE COMPULSORY

The road-works are still there but "Pat and Mick" say there should be ample parking on Sun. Details on SOTAwatch
Do not forget your silly hats.
Anybody know whose those very sick aerials are on the way down to Waddington from the top. Might be worth a trip to find them a good home
