not a qso, but I have others that heard the guy the other night, I was sat up on Crown point with one channel scanning the whole 2m band when I came across a strange accent, he was coming through on Tropo and was there for about 15mins from Buenos Aires, Brazil. Gez (m3zeg) was on air with me at the time As I said not a qso, but a strange one all the same

I think 2 stand out to me, the first was with a chap in Nova Scotia, i was working QRP (10w) and there was a hell of a pile up and i called qrp station and he immediately came back to me with a 5/10+ report and said i was the strongest station calling ;D The other was whilst we were on holiday in the Orkney Islands off the N.E. tip of Scotland, i was using 50w through an ATAS 100 antenna mobile from the car and i got a qso in Algeria North Africa!, with a chap called Abdul ;D ;D.

The one that stays in my mind although perhaps not so great to others is one day in July a couple of years ago... I randomly tuned into 6 mtrs and heard a very loud station coming in. I was running 5 W on the Yaesu FT- 817 and thought to myself mmmh I will give it ago...He came straight back to me...He was from Switzerland My first contact on 6 Mtrs so doubly happy and he was also running 5 W

From Hailstorm Hill near Rochdale EA8 BPX (IL18SK).
Using the FT817 into a 3 element. However I must confess to breaking licence condtions by using a ridiculous amount of high power, viz 2.5 watts. Not really QRP so it does not really count.
