What did you get mate, I was looking at buying an IC202 2m multimode but we'll see, now It looks like my mortgage is going thru I am going to have to start saving

Well done on the mortgage... somethings are far more important than radio gear. I picked up a very good condition Kenwood TS-711E (£179 and that's a pretty good price, base vhf multimodes are scarce and can go for plenty) .... It's 20yrs old but a classic, but I did say before how I get nostalgic for the 80's I like a decent sized radio, with decent sized buttons so that you don't end up pressing half a dozen with one finger. The VFO knob is interesting, in that you can choose whether it's a free rolling normal VFO or the indent feel of a channel knob. Excellent looking radio Andy, Well Done on the aquasition of it. We have a similar looking radio at the local club but not sure if it is exactly the same one.
