Maybe this is not the place to post but hell why not, for those that want to break the rules and open out TX on Mars bands including PMR (its your license not mine, don't shoot the Msngr) you can find loads of sites advising desoldering a couple of pads.
Now this is not what the dealerships do, what the dealerships do is take a pair of long nose pliers, find the PAD referenced in the mods at sites like mods.dk and then using the pliers crush the pad to dust, blow the dust off. Mod Done.
I would also say as a word of warning, unless done by a dealer it voids your warranty!

As an 2E0 I am allowed to make modifications to my equipment but I don't think I would make a mod to a radio or other piece of equipment that is still under warranty. However there is nothing wrong with doing any modifications if you think you know what you are doing and do it safely. An M3 however might be better seeking out a qualified electronic modifyer lol... unless they have worked with electronics prior to becoming an M3... no slight upon thyself meant there Martin as you will be qualified to make mods soon enough

Me I find it easier to buy premodded kit from the suppliers plus then its still under manufacturers warranty

Thats a good idea Martin especially if the kit comes with manufacturers warranty.
