What an excellent site that is, thanks for the link Harley. 73's de Den. Guess I was born too early for SWL, although I would never have heard the Soviet Jammers that I used for beacons at that time. '73 de kc9gld

I've heard this a few times in my years SW and I heard it again a couple days ago; a Spanish female on shortwave speaking random numbers in groups of 5 E.G."cinco,cinco,seis,ocho,nueve...dos,siete,dos,uno,dos..." it would go on like this for a certain length of time, then the station would unkey. I heard this one on 6.35MHZ but this never happens on any regular frequency. I did some fishing around the net and learned that these are actually "spy stations"!!! Can you guys fathom that in this day/age?! They suspect it originates out of Cuba. That figures..I tune in to Radio Havana occasionally and every time they're dogging the U.S.-they really hate us man! Anyway it seems these random #s are code for whatever they're up to. Thought I'd share that 1 with the forum:) Did anyone here ever hear of this? 73s

I actually suspected that this kind of thing was going on. My main reason for thinking this was you only need to tune into local frequencies to hear people accusing others of doing it and if the public are ready to do it then I would imagine that organisations etc are not amiss of doing it either...but that is just my thoughts.
