Ok, the first time I became aware of V.O.I.P., was via Echolink. I had downloaded the program and my account had been allowed..i.e. My Licence Status Checked by the department of Echolink that checks these things out...I went on the L.O.T.A. Provider and put out a call...think it was to check my audio to see if it was at a reasonable level or not...I was quite surprised to hear a station come back to me who was mobile on the M4...He was very clear with no hissing or anything....I had a quick conversation with him and he told me I was doing ok...which being a woman pleased me because I am aware that the female Licencee's are few and far between...It was difficult though being a new Licencee to work out how he could be mobile while transmitting on an internet based program...of course I am less confused these days with all the explanations I have had. It would however be nice if someone more knowledgeable than me could write an explanation and post it in here for us...We would be really appreciative...

I didn't have much success with echolink. I did at first but then I had to reformat the pc and everything went scew-whiff and I couldn't hear what anyone was saying. It was quite mumbled. I checked everything with audio etc but still couldn't get it working correctly altho on the test site everything sounded ok so haven't a clue what happened.

I only used it a few times, I had a hard time getting it to install due to my firewall...now with my new call sign I have no clue how to change

I am not sure how to go about that one other than perhaps re-joining with your new call sign Renae.
