As well as photography, radio and pc which we all know that I enjoy, I have recently purchased a knitting machine. I am going to juggle the knitting and radio by going on radio in the evening and knitting during the day. My mum has bought some wool and is hoping I will knit her a top so I best get the carriage moving from left to right pretty soon and hope I can impress her:)

You will have to post pictures of some of the things you knit. I do not knit or crochet or anything like that I have no crafty talents.

I didn't manage to get it started until 4pm so am afraid it is going to take a little longer to make. Perhaps wed or thurs. No worries Renae that you don't have any crafty talents as I am sure there is something in life that you are talented at. Baking or cooking perhaps and I know that you work down at the zoo which is a good thing to do in itself my friend

Awe Bless Thank you girls for your kind words I have always been able to sew, cook embroider etc.... over the last few years I have been too busy with kids though to be able to do anything. Now however things seem to be on the change and I have more time to do what I want to do and am happy to have got back with the knitting machine after some 16 years. I have just a sleeve and a collar to do on the garment and then it needs to be sewn together and a zip put in. This particular one is a trial run basically to see if it works ok and if it does I will be making mum one pretty quickly, hopefully before saturday comes around. I think she should like it. Renae to have kept the christening gown and cap after all these years is wonderful. Must still give you beautiful memories of the day she was christened. One day I hope to move onto lacey stuff then perhaps who knows I will be knitting christening gowns and perhaps even a wedding dress.....mmmmh now that is an ambition and a half...what do you think Janine? Thank you again Janine and Renae for your lovely comments 73's for now, Zo

I don't think I am crafty enough to make nice cards.

Hi Janine and Renae, Its been a while since we chatted about your work at the Zoo Renae and it will be interesting to hear all about what you get on with there this year. Hope it's all exciting stuff although it is quite relaxing looking after the plants and such. Janine what book are you reading.. is it by any chance the 2E0 book? If it is yes you will be surprised at how much you already know and you will also build on what you already know too. I am still getting my head around the M0 which is still a little frightening lol...says me :0 Mmmmh wonder what you will come up with....looking forward to seeing 73's for now ladies , Zo
