Now that the weather has improved slightly things seem to be picking up in the world of SOTA as more and more activators take to the summits. I had a couple of contacts this morning, one a 10 pointer in North Wales and one on Great Whernside ~ Scott M3UUM/P who is a personal friend of ours. It was a good contact Scott and hope you have many more this season. Hope all you avid SOTA Chasers out there have many many contacts.
Take care for now.

Activity is indeed picking up, but I can't get out to some places yet, maybe our dear friend will drop that pole over sometime, and I can try and get it installed, another 15 foot should make a heck of a difference. There again he's also got a 4m set When I get a motor again, I will try some activations on 4m. Funny though 4m seems to be the new CB of amateur radio

I have 4 mtrs and it is a little quiet at mo but apparently you do get some other countries coming in when the conditions are right. You are right when you get that antenna higher you will be able to get out to accrington and blackburn and further so keeping fingers crossed for you being able to get that sorted soon.
