Why oh why on some Yaesu rigs have they stopped transmit on the PMR 446.~ channels, one good thing about the use of low power and a 70cm antenna and memories is PMR for RAYNet use but no they have blocked the freqs in transmit on the FT8900R the FT7800R works though

Oh well who knows why the powers that be decide upon the things they decide upon. Well at least the FT7800R will do it. I don't use the pmr's but kids have two good ones that transmitt on upto 100 channels upto 8 km so they are quite good.

no compromises at all, the chip was put in to stop people transmitting on US MARS frequencies, so just a quick removal and all sorted
